Antwaan Randle El could be pricing himself out of the Bears' plans, but Detroit's Eddie Drummond also is a returner/receiver who could come cheaper. Safety is a deep position in free agency, which is good for a team with questions about Mike Brown's durability. The offensive line pool is shallower, but the Bears will re-sign John St. Clair to an extension, and possibly Lennie Friedman.
Most mock drafts have the Bears selecting one from a deep tight end pool of Georgia's Leonard Pope, UCLA's Marcedes Lewis or Maryland's Vernon Davis. The Bears' brass wouldn't dispute tight end is a need. If the Bears don't go that route, cornerback is the next best guess.
