Closing in on the final pick. BigBlueShoe was so sure of this pick, he sent it the first day the draft started and promised he would be around and looks like he was right.
#30- Indianapolis Colts: Joseph Addai, RB LSU
With the loss of Edgerrin James, the Colts are looking for an all-purpose back that can run, catch, and block in Tom Moore's "Check With Me" offense. Addai is ideally suited for this role. He is a patient runner with great quickness, good speed, and does not allow tacklers to get a clean hit on him. He has excellent hands for a runningback, and is smart enough to find soft spots in a defense's zone. He is also a high character player known for his work ethic and leadership abilities, attributes Colts GM Bill Polian looks for in players. Durability is an issue with Addai, but he will most likely split time with veteran RB Dominic Rhodes.
