BigBlueShoe is in again with Green Bay and their #5 pick.

#5 Green Bay Packers: A.J. Hawk, LB, OSU

The Packers have had defensive woes for the better part of ten years. While players like Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (or KGB) have provided a spark for Green Bay's defense, they have not had a bonafide difference maker since the late, great Reggie White terrorized QBs from his defensive end position. OSU linebacker A.J. Hawk gives the Packers the difference maker on defense they have sorely lacked in recent years. He sheds blockers well, is a sure tackler, and has strong football instrincts. He is also always around the ball, causing turnovers and making game-changing plays. His strong leadership skills would allow Green Bay to build the defense around him, making him as much a difference maker on defense as Brett Farve is on offense.
