John Clayton did a piece putting together the best team he could using this season's salary cap. The Bears have three players on the team, Tommie Harris, Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman.
My problem with this piece is not who didn't make the team, becuase counting cap hits, you can take out a lot of players, but rather his choice of Charles Tillman as a cornerback. Not to knock too hard on Tillman, becuase he does have his upside and can break the big play, but did Clayton not see the almost three straight games in which he was burned down field. Maybe he should have spent that last 1 million he saved and upgrade that spot.
