Not more than a week or two ago, it was popular opinion that FB Bryan Johnson would be placed on the injured reserve list or outright released due to his status of being oft injured. With servicable Jason McKie and promising rookie J.D. Runnels on board, it didn't look to hamper the Bears.
Reports out now state that Johnson's injury is not as bad as originally thought and he could be back somewhere around mid season. The Bears now consider it a possibility that they keep him on the active roster.
