Week 3 brings us to a game for early control of the NFC North. I have to say I haven't looked forward to a game this month in quite some time.
Game time is 1PM EST.
Gonzo from the SB Vikings blog, Daily Norseman has sent this over for keys to the game for the Vikings.
In my opinion, the biggest key for the Vikings is that they need to continue being able to get off the field on third down. Over the first two games, the Vikings are only allowing 3rd down conversions at a 26% clip (27 3rd downs faced, 7 1st downs allowed). Chicago's offense is converting 3rd downs at a 39% clip (10/26), which is in the top half of the league, percentage-wise. If the Vikings can keep the Chicago running game bottled up and keep the Bears in 2nd and 3rd and long situations, I don't think Grossman will be able to shred the Minnesota secondary in the manner he did to Detroit and Green Bay, two teams with secondaries that are far inferior to Minnesota's.
Here are your injury reports.
