Harris Ahead of Schedule and Miller Declares

When asked about his condition Pro Bowl defensive end Tommie Harris said he is ahead of schedule and thinks he will be ready by training camp.

''I'm like a wounded lion right now,'' Harris said. ''I'm weak. I don't want to slow these guys down.''

Harris injured his leg against the Vikings on Dec. 3. Instead of tearing his hamstring, as initially feared, his tendon was surgically reattached to his pelvis. Harris said his rehabilitation is ahead of schedule and expects to be fully recovered in time for training camp.

''It's good that it happened to me at a young age and not when I'm 30 or something and at the end of my career,'' he said.

I try not to load up on draft talk before our season is over, but since he is attached to us with our late round pick in so many mock drafts, I thought I would throw it out there.  TE Zach Miller from Arizona State has just officially declared himself for the NFL Draft.
