Todd Johnson is back and healthy after missing 4 of the last 5 games, but Chris Harris will get the start at strong safety.
'He's played well enough, and Todd is not there yet,'' defensive coordinator Ron Rivera said. ''We have to see how Todd is going to play. Chris has played well, and he deserves a continued opportunity.
''Todd will play. We need to get his feet wet again and get him used to it again. It's tough to come off the high-ankle sprain and be as athletic as you need to be to play safety.''
Nothing surprising here. Johnson is probably better as an overall safety, but it is nice having somebody in the secondary that lays people out the way Harris does.
