Don't say I never gave you anything. I actually planned on dropping this as a mid-week treat for you. Somewhere in between John Morgan's write ups, but I don't know when those will be available, so you get this early. Here on the main page, I am dropping a few site questions, I will put the stuff of questionable content over in the diary section. Thanks to Drew, from Kissing Suzy Kolber for helping out.
1) What was it that made you think you could have success at a sports humor
site?
I didn't see any NFL blogs that really appealed to me. The NBA has a ton: FreeDarko, TrueHoop, etc. Just seemed like a classic hole to fill. We did it largely to amuse ourselves. I was honestly surprised (and continue to be) that anyone else read it.
2) Were there any other options for name of the site?
My second favorite was Deep Thigh Bruise. But when Matt Ufford sent me the list of names, KSK was far and away the obvious choice.
3) Did you already know the other writers on the blog or did you meet them
along the way?
We all "met" because we were commenters on Deadspin. Matt (Captain Caveman) and I conceived the blog together, then invited the others to
join us.
