According to a recent radio report, Rex Grossman had asked the Chicago Bears to trade him. Grossman and his agent Eugene Parker have denied the truth in that statement.
"I'm his agent. If he didn't tell me, I would say, there's no truth to it," Parker said Tuesday afternoon. "I haven't talked to him since before the last game."
In cases such as these when the player would be available to everybody at season's end, usually a trade does not happen. Only in cases where a team covets a player so much they are willing to make the trade and work a contract and try to avoid a bidding war. Grossman's stock is not high, it will be interesting to see what happens with him in the off season.
