Coach Smith Diagnosis The Bears Ailment

After watching the tape of last week's game versus the Minnesota Vikings, Coach Lovie Smith thinks he knows what the problem is and it isn't a good one.

The Bears have a heart problem.

"One of the things we used to say when people came down to Soldier Field, one of the things they talked about was how hard we played," Smith said Monday after watching the videotape of the Bears' fourth loss. "... That wasn't the case [against the Vikings]."

Translated from Loviespeak, that's a Bears coach calling out his players for lacking effort.

While the article does point out that both Coach Smith and Defensive Coordinator Babich made questionable calls that led to he loss, it still falls on the team to stop the opponenent.

I don't know whether it is a let down after making the Super Bowl.  Perhaps players just got drained from the constant Rex Grossman talk or the constant injuries or some combo of those and whoever knows what, but if they want to save this season everybody needs to figure out the problem and get it fixed.
