I have long since cared about watching the Pro Bowl or even really keeping track. Add that most of our players have opted out and it was easy to see why I wasn't watching. That and the fact that I didn't even know it was on.
I happened by in in the 4th quarter, just in time to see two of the Bears that did show up have a huge part in a comeback by the NFC.
The NFC was down 28-14 with three minutes left, when the AFC kicked the ball into the waiting hands of one Devin Hester. Hester proceeded to run the ball back 60 yards. The run probably actually sent about 100 yards, featured many cuts and changes of direction and we got the chance to see ol Troy Too Much Hair faked out of his jock twice on the same play.
After the NFC scored, Robbie Gould executed the perfect onside kick. The ball went 11 yards right through an unprepared AFC.
In the end the AFC still won, but at least the Bears players had a little something to say about it.
Can I just say for the record that I don't care how many people are invited, but if I am the owner or coach of the Chargers and I see LT out on special teams, somebody is getting a call.
