8. Atlanta - LaRon Landry, S, LSU
What can be said about Landry? Well first of all he's probably the top Safety to come out of college recently. He's had a good college experience playing for a bowl team in all four years he was at college and averaged 3 interceptions a year (12 total) for over 150 yards. At the Combine this year he impressed scouts with an amazing 4.35 on the 40-yard dash, he has pretty good size for a safety-not too small at 6'0 1/2, 213 pounds, but not too big either-and averaged about 79 tackles a year.
Meanwhile, Atlanta is probably still looking for a defensive end with Patrick Kerney being signed by the Seahawks and Jon Abraham's questionable health but with the two best being drafted probably before Landry, I think the Falcons will go for another big problem that they have and that's the secondary. That's why I think they'll draft Landry because he's the best there is and a good pick for #8.
Drafter- Coach Owens
