Earlier this off season, the Bears signed a multitude of coaching staff. Eight coaches outside of Coach Smith were signed to 3-year deals.
Team President Ted Phillips doesn't plan to stop there.
Phillips' next order of business is to extend new contracts to pro personnel director Bobby DePaul, college scouting director Greg Gabriel and a couple of other key members of the scouting department.
I had mentioned my joy when the last 8 were signed the Rusty Jones was among them, this is the same thing. We praise Jerry Angelo for making all the right moves and drafting all the right players. A lot of that is because of the work of the scouting department.
