Olsen Not The Only TE In Camp

The Bears made Miami tight end, Greg Olsen, their first round draft pick this year, but he isn't the only rookie TE in camp.  The Bears also brought in Virginia undrafted free agent Fontel Mines and he is already making an impression.

After consulting with Virginia coach Al Groh, Mines decided to add bulk to his 6-4, 215-pound frame to give NFL teams the option of converting him into a pass-catching tight end.

"I am just trying to do whatever I can to help myself and give myself the best chance to get where I need to be," Mines told The Daily Progress in Charlottesville, Va., before the draft.

"I have been around the right people and they have given me the right advice. Whatever I can do to help an NFL team is what I will do."

Smith called Mines the most pleasant surprise of the three-day minicamp.
