On of the issues I was waiting to hear about from training camp was who would be filling in on the league's best special teams.
The Bears saw some players sign deals elsewhere and with Adrian Peterson now moving to the #2 back, it is likely he will see less time. It was originally thought that Garrett Wolfe would eventually win the #2 spot, but he is having troubles staying healthy.
Early this year the Bears signed special teams ace Brendon Ayanbadejo's brother, Obafemi to help out.
It now looks like Bears fifth round draft pick Kevin Payne could earn a roster spot based on his special teams work.
"I think he's a guy who could come in and help us right away," special-teams coach Dave Toub said. "I see him as more of a play disrupter. He's not going to be the first guy down the field; I think he'll come down and make plays off the other guys."
