Chicago Bears- King of the Beatdowns

In light of the Rangers 30-3 dismantling of the Orioles last night, the staff over at ESPN have put together the list of 100 greatest beatdowns.  The Bears show up on the list 3 times and twice in the top 10.

The first is ripping the Bears lay on the Skins back in 1940.  Still today the most lopsided victory of any team.

3. 1940 NFL championship: Bears 73, Redskins 0. The Bears had 501 yards of offense, intercepted eight passes and officials had to ask Bears coach George Halas to run or pass for the PAT on the team's final two scores because so many balls had been kicked into the stands.

The second was the big one, the one that brought the Bears their only Super Bowl.

6. Super Bowl XX: Bears 46, Patriots 10.

The final one is also from the 1985 season when the Bears laid claim to being the best team and helping Da Coach get past the team that helped get him where he was.

94. The 1985 Bears had arrived: 44-0 over the Cowboys.
