Just a mere month after signing with the Bears as a backup fullback and a special teams fill in, Obafemi Ayanbadejo has been suspended for 4 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
This brings up two questions. Even though the substance Obafemi took was over the counter and not the type of steroid the league is looking out for, it is on the banned substance list. The players and the teams need to start being more careful and aware of supplements and the like that have such substances.
Secondly, the positive reading came while Obafemi was with the Arizona Cardinals and was in the process of appeals when signed by the Bears. I am curious as to what the Bears thought of the situation prior to signing him.
