The big news of course is the Bears starting a new QB in Brian Griese, but the big news is the Bears defense.
The Bears take an entire backup secondary to Detroit to face one of the league's best offensive units. The plan is to have Danieal Manning play Roy Williams all day at CB, so we will have a pair of Mannings at CB. This will put, I beleive, Brandon McGowan and rookie Kevin Payne in the safety spots.
Another late scratch is linebacker Lance Briggs. Tommie Harris is available to play and may see some time, but is not starting.
