Chad Henne, The Bears Target?

Unless they are just posturing trying to get the dogs off of their sent, the Bears are going to be looking to draft their next QB in the second round.  The two most likely candidates are Michigan QB Chad Henne or the Delaware signal caller, Joe Flacco.

Henne and Flacco have been projected anywhere in the late 1st round to the middle of the second.  Henne has interviewed with the Bears and likes what he sees.

Bears GM Jerry Angelo and OC Ron Turner both like Henne.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 225-pound Henne completed 828 of 1,387 passes for 9,715 yards, 87 touchdowns and 37 interceptions during his Michigan career. The biggest knock on him is his inability to make plays outside of the pocket.

Despite his shortcomings, Henne is the type of project player Angelo spoke of grooming. And Henne could envision himself growing in the Bears' system.

"I definitely could see myself in Chicago," he said. "It's a great city. It's close to Michigan and a close flying distance for my family. It'd be a good fit.""

Obviously calling Ron Turner a great coach makes one question his decision making, but then again he is just looking to get drafted as high as possible, might as well play nice by everybody.
