The Bears are busy trying to get their draft board in order, hopefully better than their free agent board.
GM Jerry Angelo has at least twice been down to see Boston College offensive tackle, Gosder Cherilus, twice. Cherilus is just shy of 6'7" and weighs in at 314 lbs. He is projected as a late 1st rounder, so won't be worth the Bears 14 pick, but if Angelo is looking to move down early like normal, he might be a potential target.
The Bears have also scheduled a private work out with Matt Forte for early April. Forte is a 6' 2", 217 lb running back out of Tulane. He has a 40 time of 4.46. Forte is projected to be a 2nd round pick, most drafts I've read had him in the 50-60 pick range. His jets praise for his blocking and vision and instinct, a few things our current backs seem to lack.
