Brandon McGowan Out For The Season

As rahulsriram first posted in the Fan Post section, Bears safety Brandon McGowan is out for the season.  What was originally thought to be a sprained ankle ended up requiring season ending surgery to repair.

It’s McGowan’s third serious injury since joining the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He started the final three games of his rookie year but tore his ACL in the finale. After spending the first seven games in 2006 on the physically unable to perform list, he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon in his first game back.

I know a lot of people are down on McGowan currently after his issues on special teams yesterday, but this is a blow to our secondary.  Of course you realize Mike Brown now has played in two consecutive games and hasn't gotten hurt yet, right?
