New Feature Coming To WCG

We are constantly looking for ways to keep Windy City Gridiron ahead of the loop, and love to brainstorm on how to keep content not only fresh and insightful, but also unique. I've been working on an idea for a while, and it is finally coming to fruition.

The one element that WCG does not have is that "beat writer" inside scoop sort of material. Sure, we have broken a couple of stories here and there, but to actually have insight directly from the beat writers in the trenches would be amazing.

Well, we are making that happen. Our new "interview" format will be unique to anything we have ever done at WCG. It will not be driven by us, the writers, but by you, the members. Starting this week, you all will be conducting interviews with local beat writers, here in the friendly confines of Windy City Gridiron!

I will post a thread on the front page, introducing the beat writer who will be joining us, and then you all can start posting questions in the comments section. The beat writer will join us later in the day for a few minutes, and go through the thread and answer some of the questions. You all will have the ability to ask follow-ups, agree or disagree, etc.

As we have been cultivating relationships with many different outlets throughout the past couple of years, we are able to bring this feature to you all. It goes without saying that the expectation is to have 100% respectful and professional interaction with all of our guests. If we treat them right, they might come back again and again. I do have total faith that this will go well, because WCG is well known for being the most intelligent group of Bears fans on the internet.

We'll have the first of this feature debut later this week.

Stay tuned!
