Poll of the Day: Technology versus Human Eye

The technology has been available for years now, but serious research is being put into whether to use microchips in footballs to track things like the goal line, sidelines, whether a ball hit the ground, etc.

The chip can measure factors such as ball speed, spin, trajectory and — even when it's buried under a pile of players — the precise location of the football.
