Oh yeah, you read that correctly. Mike Martz. Mad Mike. The Mad Scientist. The Evil Genius. I feel the game ball should be given to the coach or player that pulled off their responsibilities without a hitch. The game ball should go to the player or coach that had flawless execution on Monday Night. The game ball has to go to the player or coach that did their job 100% to their capabilities. And no one performed better on Monday Night than Mike Martz.
Of course, I truly believe that Martz is trying to sabotage the Bears, so in that aspect he's hitting on all cylinders!
He's trying to expose the Bears deficiencies at wide receiver and on the offensive line and he's trying to get his quarterback killed. It's not his problem that the Bears don't have Pro Bowl talent at offensive tackle. It's not his problem that the Bears don't have the crisp route runners needed to execute the Greatest Show On Turf. He ran 7 step drops in St. Louis so it's not his problem that the Bears can't do it now. No need to alter your philosophy to the talent, it's the talents job to execute your philosophy.
Keep up the great work Coach Martz. Your plan at a glorious failure is nearly complete.
