The Orange Shoes may return to the detriment of the NFL fashion police

Knock Knock.

Orange you glad Earl Bennett is rocking the Orange Shoes?
Knock Knock. Who's there? Orange. Orange who? Orange you glad Earl Bennett is rocking the Orange Shoes?

The Bears Earl Bennett was a guest on Chicago's ESPN 1000 tonight. He spoke about how a couple of good friends in the locker room gave the thumbs up to wear The Orange Shoes in the Lions game and he hinted that one good friend would take care of any fine he received. But that's a no no according to the league, so... Is the NFL going to bring in the IRS to audit Bennett?

His $5,000 fine did indeed double this week to $10,000. Bennett went on to say that he was told by the NFL that the fine would continue to increase. Up to $15,000 if he wears the shoes this Sunday against the Chargers and up to $20,000 if he wears them the following Sunday in Oakland. If he continues to wear the Orange Shoes on December 4th in the Chiefs game, he would be flagged for delay of game and made to remove the shoes. No. Fun. League.

I would love to see the entire team, in a show of solidarity, come out next week in Orange Shoes.

Sound off WCG...
