With the 13th pick in the Windy City Gridiron Staff Mock Draft, the Detroit Lions take...
Tyron Smith, OT, USC: And here's Adam's take on his selection:
I almost want to draft somebody horrible for the Lions, like Harold Maude of Pongo University, because I don't like how good the Lions are getting. The Lions would be best served to draft a corner back, but at this point the value is gone. I'm not sure if Matthew Stafford is still healthly enough to be their franchise QB, but if he is, its time to protect him. Smith played on the right side, but many experts see the potential to move him to the left, which would be ideal. If they can't and he has to stay are right, you could do a whole lot worse than improving your line with a still young QB.
