Worst Bears Draft Picks of All-Time: DE Dan Bazuin

New, comments

Wrapping up this series of all-time Bears draft busts is DE Dan Bazuin.  Taken in the 2nd round (62nd overall selection) od the 2007 Draft, Bazuin never actually played a game in the NFL.  Some people, including Michael C. Wright, says that it's not fair to placed the "bust" label on Bazuin because, after all, it's not his fault he got injured.

But, I'll have to disagree with Mr. Wright on this one... while Bazuin's knee surgeries were unfortunate, to have such a high profile coming out of college, and being worth a 2nd round grade, only to never actually see the field... that's 'bust" material if I've ever heard it.

Granted, Bazuin might not be in the same ballpark as guys like Cade McNown and Joe Moore, but it hurts when you spend a 2nd round pick on someone who will never play a down in the NFL.

Would you consider Bazuin to be one of the all-time worst picks the Bears have made?
