WCG Staff Mock Draft - Round 1, Pick 20

Hopefully you've checked out our round 1 mock board so far. It replaced that cumbersome draft ticker that accompanied some of our mock picks. Next up is WCG Draft guru Dominique Blanton.

With the 20th pick in the Windy City Gridiron Staff Mock Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select...

Da'Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson - And here's Dominique's reasoning behind his selection;

The Bucs can go either OL or DL with this pick, and with Da'Quan Bowers available they will gamble on the talented DE. The Bucs ranked second to last in sacks last season and need all the help they can get on that defensive line. They drafted Gerald McCoy last year, but he will need some help on that line specifically at DE. The highest sack total on the team was 4.5 by Stylez G. White so an athletic pass rusher like Bowers will definitely be an immediate improvement. There's concern with Bowers knee, but when healthy he's the best Defensive End in this draft. Bowers has that mix of power and speed that will give OT fits, and he's strong in run support to where he has a chance to be a 3 down DE and not just a situational pass rusher.

Next up on the clock is Brendan picking for K.C.
