WCG Staff Mock Draft - Round 1, Pick 25

The real draft is just days away, but our writer mock draft is still rolling on. Check out our entire 1st round so far by clicking right here. Next up is the man that started this whole thing off, in more ways that one, Adam.

With the 25th pick in the Windy City Gridiron Staff Mock Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select...

Jake Locker, QB, Washington - Read on for Adam's analysis;

I don't think that I'm happy with this pick, but the draft that we've picked just didn't go the Seahawks way. I think the Seahawks are hoping that Jimmy Smith fell to them, but he went 2 picks earlier. Another possibility that made sense would be to draft on the offensive line, but Nate Solder is off the board. So I'm left with RB, WR or possibly QB. Of the three spots, everybody and their mother seems to think that the Seahawks are scoping out a QB, but which one? Are they the ones to take a shot on Cam Newton? Do they go Ryan Mallet from Arkansas? I'm opting to have them take Locker, who at one time was in the discussion for the possible #1 pick in the draft. The Seahawks have their QB in Matt Hasselbeck, but he is neither getting younger or more durable, so now might be the time to find the next franchise QB. Locker is extremely athletic, some have compared him favorably to Tim Tebow in terms of all around athleticism. He has above average arm strength, as well as good touch and timing, plus he has spent a few years in a pro style offense. The big question is his health. Do the Seahawks bring in a possible injury prone QB to replace an injury prone QB.

Next up is Dane making the pick for Baltimore.
