Worst Bears Draft Picks of All-Time: Cade McNown

We were going to do a top-10/ bottom-10 type of series, but sometimes, it's best to let our readers decide the important things in life... Like whether QB Cade McNown deserves to be listed as the all-time worst draft pick in Chicago Bears history.

Cade McNown finished his college career with various passing records, many of which stand to this day.  He also has the distinction of being the only UCLA quarterback to go 4-0 against the USC Trojans.  The guy looked great on paper- winning streaks, Bowl appearances, Heisman nominations- and apparently it was good enough for the Bears to trade UP in the Draft (with the Redskins) to grab him.  You may remember that 1999 Draft as being QB-happy... a total of five QBs were taken in the 1st round (#1 Tim Couch, #2 Donovan McNabb, #3 Akili Smith, #11 Daunte Culpepper, #12 McNown), and 13 were taken overall.

Bears fans will remember well McNown's performances, and his career stat line (2 years) with the team speaks for itself:

16 games, 54.6% comp, 16 TDs, 19 INTs, 14 fumbles

McNown was traded after two seasons to Miami for a 6th round pick, but never played another down in the NFL.  Is he the all-time worst Bears draft pick?
