Chicago Bears OT Gabe Carimi to make his 1st Grand Chicago Appearance

Gabe Carimi invites YOU to greet him as he leads the parade at the Great Jewish Family Festival (via jewishfamilyfest)

Former Wisconsin Badgers offensive tackle Gabe Carimi hasn't even signed his 1st professional contract yet, but he's already making a great impression on the city of Chicago.  Gabe will lead the Jewish Unity Parade at the Great Jewish Family Festival on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Westfield Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie.

The Great Jewish Family Festival commemorates Lag B'Omer, a Jewish holiday carrying the themes of Jewish Unity and education. The festivities, featuring a parade, circus, carnival, concerts and a huge 8 foot bonfire, are arranged by Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois, a division of the largest Jewish outreach network.

For additional information on the Great Jewish Family Festival, Gabe Carimi's participation in the parade, or on the holiday of Lag B'Omer and its observances, contact Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz at 773-262-2770 x101 or email RabbiM@ChabadIllinois.com or visit our websites at www.ChabadIllinois.com and www.JewishFamilyFest.com

Windy City Gridiron would like to thank Rabbi Meir Hecht the Director of the Jewish Learning Institute of Metropolitan Chicago for informing us about this event.
