Stay Classy Chicago, and Stay Classy Windy City Gridiron

All it takes is one knuckleheaded Windy City Gridiron member to go to a different SBNation site, talk a little trash, maybe defend one of the beloved Bears, take a good natured shot at another teams player... Perhaps it turns into a back and forth ribbing between two fans, which leads to a little harsher smack talk, then to some name calling, and before you know it a heated argument ensues. Someone calls someone an (EXPLETIVE), a threat or two is made, someone else is a (EXPLETIVE), my team is better than your team, yada, yada, yada...

That kind of behavior will do two things. One, it will probably get you banned from that site. And two, it will lead those members to think that all the WCG members are morons. Some of us are, but that's besides the point. I like to look at it as we're guests on their site. You should remain respectful, and if things get a little out of hand, you can always walk away. You don't have to respond. I know some of your e-muscles would like to explode, but it's ok to back off. Let them have the last word.

The same goes to other teams fans that visit us on WCG. Those fans are our guests. If they get out of control in a trollish way, report them. No point in feeding the trolls. It's fun going back and forth with sports fans, a heated sports argument is good to get the blood boiling once in a while. Just remember that we do have a set of Community Guidelines for all our members.

And if you don't like it, then na-na na-na boo boo, stick your head in doo doo.
