Well, that just happened - the first preseason game of the season is in the books, and the Bears will not repeat their winless preseason of the year before as they beat the Buffalo Bills 10-3.

It certainly was not pretty. Bears quarterbacks were sacked nine times. Looking at the stats for last season, you'd think the Bills wouldn't be capable of this performance, but with their new attacking scheme, the Bears pass protection had fits all night. But the Bears took the lead in the second quarter on a 5-yard scramble by Caleb Hanie and tacked on a field goal in the fourth, the one Robbie made. He missed two, including a rare 33-yard miss later in the period that would have made it 13-3.

Other quick numbers after the jump.

Jay Cutler: 1/1, 0 yards.
Caleb Hanie: 3/7, 32 yards, Rush TD
Nathan Enderle: 7/10, 110 yards, 1 INT.

Marion Barber: 7 rushes, 45 yards. Kahlil Bell, 13 rushes, 73 yards.

Kris Adams: 3 receptions, 38 yards. Bell, 2 receptions, 46 yards.

Amobi Okoye: 2 sacks.

Ryan Fitzpatrick: 7/9, 44 yards.
Levi Brown: 7/15, 53 yards, 1 INT

Shawn Merriman: 2 sacks, 1 TFL. Bills defense: 9 sacks.

We'll give you more notes and stuff in the morning. For now, discuss what you just saw.
