The 4th preseason game is always not quite exciting because you typically only see the starters for one series. For instance, tonight at Soldier Field you will see Jay Cutler hand the ball off 4 straight times to someone like Kahlil Bell until he makes his way on the sideline with a baseball cap on. For the rest of the game, you will see bubble players and UDFA rookies trying to make that one last impression for the coaches. The Bears coaches and most fans might sort of already have an idea of how the 53 man roster will look like. The practice squad on the other hand is still up in the air on how it will look like. My projected practice squad roster looks something like this...
OL Alex Linnenkohl - There's not much tape or reports on him besides his college scouting tapes and reports, so he should clear waivers with ease. Unless he's picked up sometime in the season by another club, Linnenkohl will have a great chance next season to win a spot on the 53 man roster.
WR Kris Adams - There's a good possibility that he doesn't clear waivers as he was in a battle with fellow UDFA rookie WR Dane Sanzenbacher; However, I think makes it to the Bears practice squad, rather he stays there the whole year is another story. Adams has had a good camp make nice catches that has caught the attention of even some Bears defensive players.
WR Onrea Jones - The 27-year-old receiver has been sure handed in camp and has performed well in the preseason. I think he has a good enough shot to return back to the Bears practice squad this year.
OL Levi Horn - The big offensive guard has played well against 2nd and 3rd stringers and I'm sure OL coach Mike Tice will want to continue developing the Guard.
DE Mario Addison - The rookie has very good pass rushing traits that DC Rod Maranelli will probably want to keep working with.
CB Antaresis Bryan - Bryan might make the practice squad based off his measurable at 6-2 190 pounds.
P Spencer Lanning - The rookie punter imo has been more impressive than Free Agent acquisition Adam Podlesh.
FS Winston Venable - I Wouldn't be surprised if he made the actual 53 man roster based on his performance on Special Teams this preseason. In some capacity Venable will be part of the Bears this year.
That's my projected 8 that will make the practice squad this year; who are your projected 8 players that will make the practice squad?
