Weekly Chats Presented By XFINITY - Chicago Bears and the Great Beyond

Chat with WCG staffers all day as we head into Week 8 of the NFL season!

Jonathan Daniel

Happy Fall, y'all. It's that time of week where the best damn Chicago Bears bloggers on the planet sit down with the best damn Bears fans on the internet, and have a live Q/A session right here on the best damn Bears blog in existence.

Our Beloved are sitting pretty right now in the NFC North with a 5-1 record, and the Minnesota Vikings fell a little bit further behind after a loss last night in Thursday Night Football to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Currently, the North looks like this:

Not only are the Bears atop their division, but they are currently behind only the Atlanta Falcons (6-0) in the NFC. Atlanta plays Philadelphia this week.

And if you wanted to broaden the lens even more, Chicago's 5-1 record is good for 3rd in the entire league right now, behind Atlanta and the Houston Texans (6-1).

And here is something interesting about this, at least to me: The Chicago Bears are finding their successes through the performance of some of the other guys. Sure, Brandon Marshall is making a huge splash in his first year with the team, and Matt Forte is contributing... But guys like Brian Urlacher, Julius Peppers, Jay Cutler, Gabe Carimi - Well, they haven't really done too much. And that's okay, because the team is winning.

Charles Tillman (who to me has always been over-rated) is having one of the best, if not the best, season of his 10-year career, and guys like Major Wright, D.J. Moore, Henry Melton, and others are leading this team to wins.

It's not what you'd necessarily expect, but it's working. Will this be the year that the stars line up for Lovie Smith and Co.? We'll see....

In the meantime, feel free to pull up a chair, and ask our WCG staffers anything you like related to our favorite football team. We will be here all day long...
