Roster turnover in the NFL is a common occurrence from year to year. Whether it be due to injury, a new scheme, money, or personal reasons, players frequently move around. While watching NFL highlights this week, I noticed a few former Chicago Bears playing quite well in other locations, and there was even a former Bear in the news for an off the field problem.

So after careful deliberation with Windy City Gridiron's Former Chicago Bears Watch Committee, or the WCGFCBWC for short, we've named Greg Olsen as the inaugural winner of the Ex-Chicago Bear of the Week.

Olsen is currently the starting tight end for the Carolina Panthers. In their loss to the Atlanta Falcons he grabbed 6 receptions for 89 yards, and a show stopping tackle breaking touchdown. On his 17 yard TD, he ran over one hapless Falcon defender then through the tackle attempt of another.
