By far the biggest story from last night's loss to the Houston Texans is the condition of QB Jay Cutler, who was knocked out in the 2nd quarter after a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit.
While we wait to hear his prognosis, Sun-Times reporter Sean Jensen says that the team is expected to bring back a familiar face: free agent QB Josh McCown.
As of right now, Cutler and Jason Campbell are the only active quarterbacks on the Bears roster, with rookie Matt Blanchard assigned to the practice team.
Campbell was no doubt on a job interview with the rest of the league last night when he was thrust into action, as he has stated that he wants to start somewhere, for some team, at some point. Unfortunately for him, pouring rain and heavy winds put a damper on his Sunday Night Football performance, as the offense failed to get anything together in the second half.
Stay tuned to WCG for updates on the Chicago Bears QB situation as they are made available.
UPDATE - The Josh McCown signing was made official today and the Bears waived TE Brody Eldridge to make room on the roster.
