The Vikings started this one fast, riding the strong running of Adrian Peterson to their first two touchdowns on the first two drives of the game - including an interception of Jay Cutler returned to the five yard line and run in by Peterson. The Bears just couldn't recover, as between penalties, overthrows, interceptions, and the ineptitude of Kellen Davis, the Bears were held to fourteen points.
So with this loss, the Bears drop to 8-5, with a critical date against the Packers upcoming. The Bears are still in control of a playoff spot, but they have to win out to maintain it, or else they fall back into the pack fighting for a spot behind them.
On the plus side of the ledger, Brandon Marshall made Bears history by setting the franchise's single-season receptions record with 101.
