The Bears made another signing to bolster special teams as they've signed receiver Devin Thomas to a one-year deal.
Thomas is a 2008 Redskins second-round pick from Michigan State, who spent time with three teams in 2010 before finding a home with the Super Bowl Champion Giants last year. He carries kick returner value, with 25 returns for 24.3 yards per attempt. He also plays on the coverage teams, recovering a key fumble against San Francisco in last year's NFC Championship Game. He only had three receptions last season, though he did have 25 receptions for 325 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2009 with Washington.
