With their sixth round pick, the Bears selected Isaiah Frey, a cornerback out of Nevada.
Frey's got some decent size - 6', 190 pounds - and with decent speed, running a 4.46 40. According to the National Football Post report on him, he struggles to stay with receivers off the line and doesn't play very physical. He does have a decent nose for the ball, but will occasionally get caught peeking into the backfield. His game appears to be very raw, but this is one of the measurable players Phil Emery is talking about when he discusses drafting these players late. Good size, good speed, and maybe he can be worked into a solid, serviceable player.
He enters into the fray behind Charles Tillman, Tim Jennings, DJ Moore, Kelvin Hayden and Jonathan Wilhite, so there won't be any pressure to play him immediately.
