Matt Forte on his contract talks; "it's gotten better"

Could there be good news out of Halas Hall soon? Matt Forte, in town for the EA Madden 2013 Pigskin Pro-Am, told the Sun-Times that his people and the Chicago Bears are talking about his contract and;

"Last year we were worlds apart, but it’s gotten better,"

He went on to tell Comcast Sports Net about the negotiations;

"Yes, there are scars," Forte said, "but there’s a way to get rid of them."

Forte and the Bears have until July 16th to reach a long term deal. Now that the two sides are talking Bears fans can be hopeful that something will get done soon and slap the icing on the greatest offensive cake in the history of Chicago Bears football.
