Bears Sign CB Jeremy Ware

"Hey man, you're going to Chicago!" "I know man, isn't this great?!"
"Hey man, you're going to Chicago!" "I know man, isn't this great?!"

The Bears made another roster move before practice - prior to yesterday's practice, the team told kicker Dave Teggart he was waived. Today the move became official, and to fill the roster spot, the Bears signed cornerback Jeremy Ware.

Ware was a seventh-round draft pick of Oakland back in 2010. As a rookie he had one interception and three deflections in eight games. He was released at the end of training camp by the Raiders last year, and was not sighed by another team.

It's another player for the Bears to kick the tires on, and he also becomes the fifth cornerback either signed as a free agent or drafted by the team in 2012.

Teggart was an undrafted free agent out of Connecticut who was offered a contract after rookie minicamps, so really, this is probably just a camp-fodder-for-camp-fodder move.
