The Mother Ship that is SBnation is getting in on the off season list-fest, and their latest features the Chicago Bears in the top ten. Albeit at the fringe of the top 10... SBN has named the Chicago Bears linebacking unit the 10th best in the NFL.
A unit with two perennial Pro Bowlers was listed behind linebackers that are "effective", "nice", "underrated", "good", and "solid". Hell, some of those adjectives could be used to describe Nick Roach. So how is Brian Urlacher, Lance Briggs and company down at ten?
Here's what they had to say about the Bears group;
34-year-old Brian Urlacher wants to keep playing beyond this season, and given some of the other super star linebackers in their mid thirties, there is no reason to think he has to hang it up anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if he tests free agency next season. Lance Briggs is showing no signs of slowing down either.
It's hard to argue against their number 1 because the 49ers are damn good, but what about some of those other teams? Are Dallas and Washington's LBs better than Chicago's? Check out their entire list, and let us know if you agree with the Bears ranking.
