The Chicago Bears added safety Mark LeGree today to shore up their safety depth. LeGree was cut by the San Francisco 49ers 10 days ago and he's also spent time on the practice squads of the New York Jets and the Arizona Cardinals. His signing is a reaction to Saturday's injuries to Brandon Hardin and Chris Conte.
Hardin will have his neck reevaluated in a couple weeks, and the injury to Conte's shoulder is believed to be minor. Linebacker Ronnie Thornton was waived to make room for LeGree.
