Chicago Bears running backs Matt Forte and Michael Bush are both nursing injuries, and both claim they will be ready to go on Monday Night against the Dallas Cowboys. Forte hurt his ankle in the week two loss at Green Bay and he missed last weeks game against the Rams.
Bush took a hit to his shoulder last week and sat out much of the second half. Of the two, Bush seems the most likely to play, but when asked about Forte's availability he seemed confident in his teammates return. From the Chicago Tribune:
Bush expects Forte to be in the starting lineup against the Cowboys.
"I think Matt will be up this week," Bush said. "I'm still learning and making sure I'm ready in case he's not."
Both players practiced today and Head Coach Lovie Smith says Forte continues to "get better".
