Nine yards. That's all that kept Adrian Peterson from breaking Eric Dickerson's record last week against the Packers. That was the only thing Peterson couldn't do, as he trampled all over the Green Bay Packers' defense while carrying the Vikings into a playoff berth that very few expected them to break into.
That's not to knock anything Vikings' quarterback Christian Ponder's done over the last four weeks - he's played at a pretty high level over that stretch, even without Percy Harvin. But he'll need to have another solid game, as after losing last week, Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews and the rest of the Packers will be happy for a second chance to knock off the Vikings.
And look on the bright side, Bears fans - if you don't want to root for the Packers, this time, you don't have to.
