Chicago Bears work out six punters, Adam Podlesh's job may be in jeopardy

After punting the ball very poorly in Sunday's controlled environment on the road against the Detroit Lions, Adam Podlesh may be put on notice. There were six players trying out to be the new Chicago Bears punter today.

US PRESSWIRE

Adam Podlesh should be very nervous. Today at Halas Hall the Chicago Bears tried out six punters. Bears brass obviously wasn't happy with Podlesh's performance against the Detroit Lions.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune has reported that the Bears tried out Brian Moorman, Mat McBriar, Chris Kluwe, Drew Butler, T.J. Conley and Tress Way.

Last year after the Bears brought in some competition it seemed to spark Podlesh into performing better, but this year there may be a physical issue that Podlesh is dealing with.

Podlesh is 28th in the NFL in gross average at 43.5 yards per punt, and he ranks 26th in net at 38.5.

What do you think about the Bears punting situation? Should they make a change?
