Chicago Bears Fantasy Football: Start 'Em and Sit 'Em versus the Saints

The Chicago Bears face a tough undefeated New Orleans Saints team this week, so how may that alter your fantasy football plans? Here's how I see it, and if you have any fantasy related questions just drop them in the comment section to spark some discussion amongst our members.

Alshon Jeffery was targeted 11 times last week, and he had 5/107/1. He added a 27 yard run.

The Chicago Bears have dropped from the ranks of the undefeated, and will host the 4-0 New Orleans Saints this Sunday.

Will there be a shake up in the Start 'Em and Sit 'Em's for this week?

Start 'Em

Matt Forte RB - Last week the Bears were forced to throw to catch up to the Detroit Lions, and it affected Matt Forte's carries. He did however, still rack up 95 yards rushing with a TD, and haul in 5 catches for 22 yards. If you have him on your roster he's a must start.

Brandon Marshall WR - Two weeks in a row Brandon Marshall was held without a TD, so is this the time to panic? I don't think so. He's still one of the best fantasy wide out options in the NFL, and he's probably due for a TD this week. Through four games the Saints have been real solid on defense, but I think the Saints have been overachieving defensively.

Martellus Bennett TE - Last week Martellus Bennett padded his stats when the Lions elected to give the Bears the middle of the field, and he also had a near-miss TD reception. His fantasy points still place him in the upper echelon of TEs, so he is still a guy you have to start.

Alshon Jeffery WR - I think the trust factor between Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery is really starting to show. I still don't think Jeffery is a reliable #1 or #2 option as a fantasy receiver, but if your league allows you to start a 3rd WR or a flex spot, he's a solid play. But keep in mind, N.O. hasn't allowed a WR to go over 100 yards receiving this year, and they've only allowed 1 WR to catch a TD pass.

Chicago Bears Defense - While the Bears defense is still taking away the football, they are allowing a lot of points. In the basic Yahoo fantasy scoring, the Bears are the 5th best defense, so they are still a must start.

I'll have to keep them in the Start 'Em category this week, but with the high powered Saints coming into town, be sure you check out the match-up your other D has, and/or check out the free agent Ds.

Sit 'Em

Jay Cutler QB - Even though I recommended sitting Jay Cutler last week, I did say to weigh your options. Last week I ended up starting Cutler over Matt Stafford, and Cutler scored me more points. I'll give the same recommendation this week, bench him, but look at your options. With the Steelers and Redskins on their bye weeks, RGIII and Big Ben owners may need a backup plan. Cutler could be that guy.

Michael Bush RB - A week after Marc Trestman talked about getting Michael Bush more involved, he only had two offensive snaps. Keep him on the pine.

What do you guys think of the Bears fantasy options this week?
