Last night when I read that the Chicago Bears were scheduling a press conference for today at 12:30 pm central, I immediately feared the worst in regards to Jay Cutler. But apparently the presser was already planned by the Bears, so I breathed a little sigh of relief.
The press conference will be carried live from Halas Hall on Comcast SportsNet. Head coach Marc Trestman is scheduled to address the media at 12:30, with general manager Phil Emery to go on around 1:30 central time.
Shortly after the presser, we'll have some highlights via Twitter for you to digest.
Since the press conference was scheduled prior to the game against Washington, it was no doubt set to be a state of the franchise Q&A, but with Jay Cutler's status looming, it now takes on a different feel.
A quick reminder, this is an Open Thread, and those are rated WCG-MA. There will be an occasional naughty word dropped in the comment threads, so if that type of language offends you, continue on at your own risk.
Our Twitter recap, which can be found right here, is not an open thread, so we hope to see you then.
Also remember that even though we are providing an open forum to discuss all things Chicago Bears, we still have a set of community guidelines that everyone agreed to before joining Windy City Gridiron.
Bottom line, have fun, but be respectful to your fellow WCG members.
